The first announcement to the Conference: Magnetic Fields in the Universe II: from Laboratory and Stars to the Primordial Universe has been published. (http://www.astroscu.unam.mx/congresos/mfu2)
In view of the success of the meeting "Magnetic Fields in the
Universe: from Laboratory and Stars to Primordial Structures", held
in Angra dos Reis (Brazil) in December 2004,
a second edition is being organized, this time on the Mexican
Caribbean, in the island of Cozumel, from January 28th to February
1st, 2008.

This is the second Course activated in the frame of the
International School of Relativstic Astrophysics «JOHN A. WHEELER»,
whose 1st Director was John A. Wheeler, now Ignazio Ciufolini and
Richard Matzner.
It is dedicated to classic and relativistic dynamics of gravitating
objects and systems in astrophysics.

The autumn program for the excellent programming workshops organised by the HLRS (High-Performance Computing Centre, Stuttgart, Germany) is now available online. Courses are held in English and German in Germany and Switzerland and cover a number of interesting subjects, such as iterative solvers, parallelisation with openMP ans MPI and fluid dynamics.
